A 20-month-old girl successfully underwent repair of pulmonary artery sling through
a median sternotomy by division of the left pulmonary artery and its reimplantation
into the main pulmonary artery without cardiopulmonary bypass or tracheal reconstruction.
The patient is doing well on 18 months follow-up with unobstructed pulmonary blood
flow and dramatic reduction of tracheal stenosis. Simple repair of pulmonary artery
sling is feasible with good results in selected cases without tracheomalacia.
